Although I was briefly exposed to birdwatching as a child, I became very interested in taking up birding as a serious hobby in early 2021. I mostly have been birding in my home state of Virginia, with a few visits to North Carolina, Pennsylvania, DC/Maryland, and California thrown in. I recently identified my 200th bird species. I really enjoy being out in nature, exploring away from the hubbub, and trying to find new birds. I particularly enjoy the challenge and plumages of migrating warblers. I am a very amateur photographer in that photos can later help identify some of birds.
