I am actively researching my ancestry and genealogy. I have been interested in family history since I was a child. I have built an extensive family tree on Ancestry.com, where I also have a DNA test and matches. I also have DNA test results with MyHeritage, 23andMe, FamilyTreeDNA, and GEDmatch.
On FamilyTreeDNA, I have taken the Big Y-700 Y-DNA test, and my confirmed haplogroup is R-FTT42. This haplogroup represents a direct descent down the paternal line from the Royal Stewart family of Scotland, and in particular from Clan Stewart of Appin.
My research interests include: identifying the parents of Moses Robinson (1783-1820), my 4th great-grandfather; finding records for Azubah Meigs (1759-?), a candidate for Moses's mother; and tracing maternal lines back to England and Germany.
